Singapore, the island city-state off the coast of mainland Malaysia, is one of the most connected in the world, which makes it the ideal candidate for Dassault Systèmes' new software, aptly entitled 'Virtual Singapore.' Part of the company's 3DEXPERIENCE City project, Virtual Singapore is an incredibly detailed 3D map of the city-state that includes deep data about everything from traffic flow and energy consumption to demographic data and public systems use.
Virtual Singapore, which will be released by the end of 2017, is much more than a detailed Google Maps. While the general public will have access to the tool, it will be especially useful for architects, urban planners, and city councilors for analyzing policy decisions (thanks to the wide-ranging and plentiful data that the software makes accessible.)
