The Beforelight Under a Different Light exhibit is on display in Greece. The design group has brought forth this aesthetic lighting scheme by way of discarded and unwanted lamp shades, ones that have been recycled and repurposed here.
This public piece of art work is enthralling residents and visitors to the Thessaloniki district. In line with its discarded motifs are the abandoned buildings that it has been set up between.
These strings of chandeliers has moreover brought together members of Thessaloniki's vibrant community. Local volunteers pieced together the lamps and set up the entire installation. Live music complimented the set, adding new elements to Mediterranean displays of street art, especially given its location within an old, historic city.
