The 'Pulse' lights are a decorative range of illuminators designed by Pierre Charrie that showcase a naturalistic aesthetic to incorporate a touch of visual movement into a space. The lamps are crafted using plaster of Paris and show off a series of ripples and divots that could call to mind the appearance of movement on water. The lamps come in wall and suspension models, which are paired with brass accents for a touch of style and diffuse the light across the finish to further highlight the texture. The lights will be showcased at Salone del Mobile 2023.
Charrie spoke on the process behind the 'Pulse' lights saying, "To make Pulse, I repeated an experiment in which I had used electromagnets as if they were musical instruments; then I recreated the phenomenon by using a parametric modeling software where the digital files helped me to make the molds for the lamps.”
