Australian architect Max Prichard designed the 'Treetop Studio' as a peaceful refuge intended for weekend work. The timber pavilion was built on a hillside, next to the architect's home near the city of Adelaide, that offers views of the sea.
The cylindrical tube, which stands six meters high, was fashioned using sheets of hoop pine stained with a beautiful amber hue to offer some warmth. Across the floors and walls lie hardwood batons, chosen to accentuate the junctures in the pine sheeting. The structure is topped by a flat roof, which offers protection from the elements.
Inside, the column contains two levels: the first of which is used for storage, while the second is a work space with sea views.
