The Trash: anycoloryoulike Project is the brainchild of a New York artist who goes by the name of Adrian. The project takes standard garbage bags that line the street and either removes them or places them next to garbage that has been placed in pink, polka-dotted trash bags.
The goal of the Trash: anycoloryoulike Project is to promote "...art accessibility, environmental awareness, experiment with color therapy in public spaces, and exercises in perception."
Trash: anycoloryoulike took to the streets of New York this past summer and it went over well with citizens and business owners alike. The bags are 100% biodegradable and even ward off insects with an odor that is offensive to them.
