Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has debuted her first sustainable bag collection in collaboration with Megaworld Lifestyle Malls. This eco-conscious initiative, the Enviro-Chic Bag Collection, features three distinctive designs: a large tote, an essentials bucket bag, and a versatile three-way folio, each crafted with sustainability at its core.
Catriona confirmed that each bag in this release is carefully handcrafted by Filipino artisans from Side B Upcycling Retail Inc., a company known for its innovative use of recycled materials. The limited-edition bags are available through a unique exchange program. Starting September 13, customers can acquire one by presenting receipts and donating 35 plastic bottles at select Megaworld Lifestyle Malls.
Participating malls in this campaign include Eastwood City, Lucky Chinatown, Uptown Bonifacio, McKinley Hill, and Newport Mall. Plastic Credit Exchange (PCX), an organization focused on promoting a circular economy by addressing plastic waste, will repurpose the plastic bottles collected as part of the initiative.
