McDonald’s Canada is leaning into nostalgia this summer with the debut of its new Throwback Meal.

As you might have guessed from the name, the new Throwback Meal celebrates decades past. More specifically, this meal is a throwback to the 80s, 90s, and 00s with three distinct items. Each meal comes with a six or 10-piece Chicken McNugget box and your choice of three new dipping sauces inspired by previous generations. There's the 1980s Garlic Parmesan sauce, the 1990s Szechuan sauce, and the 2000s Jalapeno Cheddar sauce. Each ones of these sauces comes in a unique package with branding inspired by that decade. The bag and McNugget box also feature a nostalgic design with the old McDonald’s logos for an extra throwback.
