Marc Gerritsen regularly lives in Taipei, and to escape the hustle and bustle of this massive city, he built The Naked House on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. To make the most of staying connected to the surrounding nature, he designed the base floor of the house with sliding doors all around. Just imagine waking up in the morning, pushing the doors back and looking out onto a swimming pool with the ocean and trees in the background. Not bad at all.
The Naked House is a tongue-and-cheek name, since Gerritsen's design contains sliding doors on the main level for all onlookers to see. Luckily the space is extremely secluded, so privacy even with this type of look is still possible.
