All-Emoji Resturant Menus

The Little Yellow Door's Menu is Written Entirely in Emojis

A London-based restaurant called The Little Yellow Door recently took full advantage of the newly released emoji keyboard by creating a menu written entirely in emojis. While there are already several restaurants that have incorporated emojis into their ordering systems, this establishment has taken the concept a step further by eliminating the use of text.

The Little Yellow Door's new all-emoji menu will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays for the duration of the summer season. Customers will be able to order from the menu in the restaurant or over WhatsApp, but only after they have deciphered what each different emoji combination stands for. The text-free menu is in keeping with the restaurant's ongoing effort to embrace new technology. As restaurant owner Kamran Dehdashti explains, "When we first opened, we pioneered doing all our bookings by WhatsApp, so it seemed fitting for the new emoji menu to be ordered via WhatsApp too."
