Most people have come to know that the classic sweet churro is long, straight and star-shaped—though sometimes curled or twisted. One of the newest creations to come out of the Dominique Ansel Bakery Japan is the 'Churro Duo,' which puts a shapely new spin on the traditional Mexican snack.

Rather than serving the deep-fried pastry treat as individual sticks, this new creation from the mind of the creator of the Cronut and the Cookie Shot introduces interlocking pyramid forms. Served in pairs, the 3D pastries are made in both black sesame and black sugar, as well as white sesame and cinnamon sugar.
