Beyond Meat Sun Sausages are new whole-food sausages made from vegetables, grains and pulses that meet the demand for healthier plant-based alternatives. The newly launched lineup includes Cajun, Pesto and Pineapple Jalapeño varieties named for their "sun-powered, wholesome and nourishing plant-based ingredients."
Each plant-powered sausage link has 12 grams of protein from various sources like yellow peas, brown rice, lentils and faba beans. Depending on the flavor, the products also integrate wholesome ingredients like red bell pepper and spinach. Sun Sausages boast 46% less fat than the recently revamped lineup of Beyond Sausages, which offer an alternative to pork sausages.
While there are many plant-based products that are made to be as meat-like as possible in looks and taste, these alt sausages simply celebrate clean-label ingredients.
