The 'Star Trek/Wars' cookies by Sarah Trefney were made in celebration of May the Fourth and the release of Star Trek Into Darkness.
Trefney was inspired by the 'Quogs' stylization used to depict the characters in Star Trek Merchandise. For her cookies, she re-imagined Star Trek characters as members of the Star Wars universe. The cookies feature Jedi Spock, Uhura as Princess Leia and a Klingon with killer "helmet hair" as Darth Vader.
To create these amazing treats, Trefney made modifications to the 'Quogs' in Photoshop, drew templates and shaped cookie dough by hand. Next, the process gets high-tech: using an iPad and the Camera Lucida app, she was able to project the images onto the cookies to trace the outlines. These sci-fi treats are an amazing way to honor both Star Trek and Wars.
