Fiery Pepper-Infused Ice Cream

The Aldwych Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor Serves Ultra-Spicy Ice Cream

Ice cream is loved by many consumers for being cool, refreshing and sweet, but the Aldwych Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor is launching a spicy ice cream that delivers the heat.

Just ahead of Valentine's Day, the cafe launched a red-colored frozen dessert called 'Respiro Del Diavolo,' or Breath of the Devil. The ice cream, made with an ultra-secret recipe that is infused with Carolina Reaper peppers, is in fact so hot that those who wish to get a taste must be at least 18 years of age and willing to sign a waiver. When serving the spicy ice cream, the cafe's employees must also wear gloves.

Adventurous foodies can expect an extreme amount of spiciness from the ice cream made with the world's hottest pepper. As the shop owner’s brother Lee Bandoni desribes, the flavor is something like a "thermal nuclear explosion in your mouth."
