The Soda Folk Root Beer has been reformulated by the brand in the UK to have it ready for the HFSS regulations set to come into effect in October. The root beer now features 63% less sugar than the original variant and will come with new branding to coincide with the recipe change. The branding boasts a new person on the individual cans and the pack, and conveys the new and improved recipe clearly on the front.
Managing Director Simon Waterfall commented on the changes to the Soda Folk Root Beer saying, "As part of our responsibility to do good and support health, we have been able to significantly reduce the sugar content and maintain the authentic flavour."
