Sustainable Combination Housing

This Residence Combines Social Housing with Private Home Units

In a construction for a residential structure that aims to interlink traditional social housing with private home units, Paris-based architecture firm Peripheriques Architectes has constructed a dwelling that aims to create a system for lowered energy level consumption.

Located between Boulevard de Grenelle and Fremicourt Street in Paris, the building is extremely environmentally aware as the building's facade features horizontal linear lines, made from a mixture of anodized aluminum terracotta, glass and wood. On one side of the building are nine levels of apartment units, while the other side consists of ten levels.

With the varying orientation of the apartment units, the south facing units are fitted with wooden planked outdoor balconies, allowing the resident to enjoy the panoramic views of the Parisian cityscape.
