Getting an extra serving of veggies is about to get a whole lot more delicious thanks to the new Smugglers ice cream, which boasts a secret ingredient to give it a more health-conscious recipe.
The ice cream comes in two flavors including Vanilla and Chocolate, which are formulated with parsnips and beetroot, respectively. Arriving in the UK this March at Waitress locations, the ice creams come in 460ml pots that will cost £5 each. The ice creams are a great indulgence for health-conscious adults, but are ideal for kids to help them enjoy a sweet treat with a boost of veggies.
Co-Founder Dan Lowe commented on the Smugglers ice cream saying, "Family meal-times can sometimes be a little stressful in our house, especially when it comes to getting the children to eat their vegetables. We know that first and foremost ice cream has to taste great for kids to enjoy it, but we’ve smuggled just enough veg into Smugglers so that you can’t see or taste it at all, but it also adds a little bit of goodness."
