A real-life Spider-Man exists, and he’s known as ‘Spider Dan’ Goodwin and ‘Skyscraperman.’ Captured in this video scaling all 58 storeys of the Millenium Tower, this 54-year-old daredevil accomplished the feat using industrial suction cups.
Amazingly, ‘Skyscraperman’ has endeavored similar ascents in the past. Having climbed Chicago’s Sears Tower in 1981, New York’s World Trade Center in 1983 and Toronto’s CN Tower in 1985, Dan Goodwin risks his own life to call attention to two causes. ‘Skyscraperman’ aims firstly to highlight the vulnerability of skyscrapers to terrorism, and secondly to exemplify the fight against cancer.
