The Skyhole House by Japanese architectural firm Alphaville is a magnificent and futuristic building located in Shiga, Japan. Serving as both a residence and an atelier, the angular structure features a cathedral-like wooden ceiling that momentarily distracts from the industrialism and infuses the space with lived in charm.
The Alphaville team, led by architects Entaro Takeguchi and Asako Yamamoto, created the intriguing single-storey structure so that it was able to function as a home as well as a space able to host events or exhibitions.
