Teenagers are horrified when their parents want to be their friends on Facebook. The social networking site is for the under 30 crowd.. or perhaps not? As Facebook matures, the demographics of its users are changing too. So how would older people use Facebook within their social framework?
The People's Improv Theatre in New York City did a sketch on a couple of seniors checking out their Facebook accounts. The skit is hilariously subtitled, "Don't poke Granny's boyfriend!" They start out amiably checking out one's Facebook account and end up with, "I'm taking you off my top friends list!" With another retort by the character called Myrtle, "Friendster? What is this, 1908?"
