It is no surprise that an eco resort featured on the New York Times' T magazine, Segera, is something for the 1 percent. The resort, which spans over 50,000 acres in Laikipia Plateau in Kenya, was founded by Jochen Zeitz, the former CEO of Puma.
"I’m trying to go beyond the traditional clichés of an African safari," told writer Andrew Sessa in T magazine's article called "An African Eco-Resort With a Greater Sense of Purpose. "We need to engage rather than educate people... [Segera is] "an opportunity to change thinking, to change behavior, because we’re touching guests at an emotional point in their journey."
T magazine also featured a photo gallery of images in and around the Segera ranch, where the price per guest each night starts at $880.
