Honey Yeast Beers

Ginza Brown is a Limited Edition Sapporo Beer Made with Honey Bee Yeast

Ginza Brown is a new limited edition Sapporo beer that has a unique selling feature: it's the only beer in the world that's made from honey bee yeast.

With strong ties to the Ginza district and as a supporter of the Ginza Honey Bee Project, this beer helps to promote awareness on how essential honey bees are, as well as show some more of the insect's potential. After a year's worth of studying and recipe-refining, it was identified that honey bee yeast could be used to make beer. It's said that the Ginza Brown has a dark amber color and a slight cinnamon scent that's best paired with sweets and light snacks.

The limited beer can now be pre-ordered from Sapporo in either six or twelve packs and it's surely worth trying to save the bees.
