Mark Anthony Brands - the makers of the iconic White Claw brand - recently expanded its portfolio with the launch of Rey Azul, a new tequila soda. The new ready-to-drink cocktail comes at a time when Americans, particularly Gen Z, are growing fonder of tequila.
Rey Azul, or ‘Blue King,’ is a canned tequila soda that is made with authentic tequila using blue agave grown in Jalisco, Mexico, and produced in partnership with a second-generation family-owned agave farm and distillery. Currently available in four flavors, each blended with sea salt: Mango, Lime, Pineapple and Grapefruit, the beverage are additive-free, gluten-free, 100 calories, and come with a 5% ABV.
Rey Azul is currently available at select retailers in 18 states, with plans to be available in 22 more states by the end of 2022.
