The photo series 'Reformed' by Michael Jantzen is a kaleidoscopic collection of images that resemble the ink blot tests used by psychologists.
Colors and forms are merged together in these captures, making the viewer question where the original structure begins and ends.
Each snapshot is attained by taking an original image of one of the artist's conceptual architecture structures and overlapping and stretching it digitally. By duplicating each image in this manner, the artist has created a blurred and mirror-like replication of each of the structures that serve as the subjects of the photos. The original structure becomes distorted and altered through this process, while still maintaining fragments of its original integrity.
Many of the artist's projects focus on the transformation of objects, seeking to expand perceptions of reality, and these captures certainly fall into that category.
