In partnership with property developer Hyundai Development Company, UNStudio has covered the facades of all the apartments in two urban blocks with bright, colorful, and distinct patterns to help them stand apart from one another.
The practical requirements of a densely packed, middle-income urban area can put a damper on striking, unique architecture. High rise apartment buildings are a necessity, and the safety requirements of these buildings and complexes often stifle creativity and lead to uniformity. By covering apartment buildings with color, UNStudio has invented a cheap system for breaking out of the urban mold.
