Bordeaux-based startup OCEAN KISS is venturing into the creation of alternative seafood products with Solmon, a first-of-its-kind plant-based smoked salmon made from seaweed and plants.
When choosing OCEAN KISS' plant-based smoked salmon alternative, consumers get the benefit of a product that's rich in omegas, and free from antibiotics, microplastics, heavy metals and pollutants. This vegan seafood alternative is a source of DHA and EPA, as well as protein and fiber, all the while being free from gluten and soy. What's more, Solmon boasts 60% less salt than the average smoked salmon.
Plant-based alternatives like Solmon are on the rise as brands create innovative solutions to address everything from polluted oceans and overfishing to the climate crisis causing rising water temperatures.
