Piedro Sal is a Gorgeous Restaurant That Celebrates Seafood and Design

Piedra Sal is a beautiful restaurant in Mexico City built in one of the most coveted spaces in the city. Designed by Mexican architecture firm 'vgz arquitectura y diseño,' this amazing space combines modern design with a classic restaurant atmosphere. The exterior of the restaurant was designed and built to look like an inviting plaza, and uses vertical wooden slats to entice visitors through a black doorway. Lit stairs lead visitors up into the dining room and is constructed entirely of soft-colored wood. The dining room sports a monochromatic color scheme and includes varying shades of gray and wood with black accents. The circular bar becomes a focal point in the space as brass sidings along the bar appear to shine under restaurant lights.

The food at Piedra Sal is just as impressive as the restaurant design and is created by renowned chef José Manuel Baños. The menu is ever-changing, depending on the ingredients received on that day, but there is a focus on fresh and delicious seafood. The restaurant also contains a full seafood bar, serving oysters, clams, shrimp and lobster, and guests are invited to select items from the bar as the approach their table.
