The 'Papermeal' project by Yelldesign involves paper food that is animated to show the making of a recipe.
Yelldesign decided to create a full-scale recipe made completely of paper after having seen many still images of food created from various materials. After creating all of the food out of paper, Yelldesign animated the entire recipe to transform everyday recipes into colorful works of art. The Papermeal project features five animations and the recipes include ramen, fish and chips and penne meatballs.
The animations are bright, clever, and mimic the way a video recipe made with real food would look. Yelldesign also picked food items from all over the world to showcase their clever videos and impressive folding designs. While the paper appears to look like food, the animations cleverly blend crafting supplies with the food-making process.
