Artichoke Pulp Chairs

Spyros Kizis' Organic Chair is Made from Artichoke and Natural Resins

Spyros Kizis' created an organic chair in a familiar shape, made with an unusual material — artichoke pulp. The chair is a response to the massive number of products that are made with the use of oil or plastic. Kizis demonstrates quite clearly that there are other more sustainable options out there.

Kizis' 'Artichairs' are modeled after the iconic Eames chairs and are produced from a combination of artichoke thistle and biological resin from cooking oil waste.

In the future, it is anticipated that there will be a significant decline in oil production, which will drive up the demand and cost for oil, despite the costs it has on the environment. Kizis' Artichairs provide a sustainable solution to furniture production that is also 100% biodegradable.
