Creating sculptures is hard work on its own, never mind combining it with the crunchy, delicious texture of a cookie, but with this Oreo cookie artwork, sculptures have never looked so yummy.
Alexander Barrett, an artist based out of Brooklyn, was hired on by Nabisco to create these interesting sculptures made out of Oreos. The content was voted on by the public via Instagram, and then Barrett went to work creating these truly original sculptures.
The texture of cookies is not usually conducive to proper sculpting, and even some of his pieces are made out of the cream filling inside the Oreo. The most incredible facet of this artwork is the detail that went into it -- these pieces really do look lifelike. This Oreo cookie artwork proves that an artist can use almost any medium and make beautiful (and yummy) work.
