Protective Snacking Pants

The Ore-Ida Tot-Protecting Pants Safeguard Beloved Potato Bites

The inventor of Tater Tots, the Ore-Ida brand, teamed up with Searchlight Pictures to create the Ore-Ida Tot-Protecting Pants, now available for a limited time. This snack-protecting collaboration recalls Napoleon Dynamite sneaking Tater Tots into class and the school bully yelling for him to share some of them. In the iconic 2000s movie, the bully kicked the pocket where Napoleon had the Tots were stashed, resulting in a crushed snack. Inspired by this moment, a pair of snack-protecting pants were created for potato snackers.

With a design that pays homage to Uncle Rico’s Nupont Fiber, the pants sport a dark gray, crocodile-print pattern and durable, food-safe pocket. In celebration of the film's 20th anniversary, Napoleon Dynamite, played by Jon Heder, models the limited-edition pants.
