Design studio NOA has been tapped to redesign an attic apartment that is located in Innsbruck, Austria with the refreshed iteration dubbed the Omarama. The design language is inspired by an alpine theme and it translates across the top-floor flat in the city center overlooking the Alps.
The layout is quadrangular and the middle service section also has a staircase to lead up to a roof terrace. All sides of the space open up to natural lighting and this was a large focus when designing the space. Founder of NOA, Lukas Rungger states, "Each of our designs unfolds a story. In this work, an additional personal aspect was brought into play, namely the memories of a life that the client carried with her. Paintings, statues, and handcrafted objects that needed to be displayed in an enhancing setting."
