Joining the many other restaurant chains that have refocused their efforts on delivery-only services, the creators of Shakey Pizza have announced a new concept called Mojos.
Specializing in premium fried chicken dishes, Mojos would operate from Shakey Pizza locations within the Los Angeles area, transforming the dine-in-focused restaurant into one that's more versatile and better suited to providing consumers with fast take-out options during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shakey Pizza CEO Nick Mayer spoke to the chicken concept, stating "When the pandemic hit and indoor dining was shuttered throughout most of California, we expanded our capabilities for delivery, curbside pick-up and patio seating. Since we are still operating well below capacity, the idea of creating a delivery-only concept featuring our crave-able fried chicken with a twist made a lot of sense."
