Moet & Chandon's new 'MCIII' is a classic vintage wine that incorporates a futuristic bottle design. MCIII combines three distinct wines, all aged and grown differently in metal, wood and glass. The name comes from the initials of the company, followed by a three, which represents the three unique processes and wines that the bottle is comprised of.
The new champagne has 37 percent chardonnay and pinot noir aged in stainless steal vats. The second element incorporates the brand's Grand Vintage collections from 1998, 2000 and 2002, which matured in oak barrels. The last element uses older Grand Vintage wines from 1999, 1998 and 1993.
The result is a multifaceted wine that releases a variety of flavors and a unique bouquet. Hints of coffee, malt and hazelnut are revealed, contrasted with pecan and citrus fruit notes.
