Veggie-Infused Sausages

Misfit Foods' Sausages Combine 50% Chicken and 50% Veggies

The Misfit team started off as a juice company that fought food waste by creating blends with so-called "ugly" produce and now Misfit Foods is redirecting its focus to veggie and meat sausages. The brand recently introduced its Kale Citrus Chimichurri, Sweet Potato Andouille and Squash Sweet Italian sausages, each of which features a split of 50% humanely raised, antibiotic-free, hormone-free chicken and 50% vegetables.

With these products, Misfit Foods aims to help people reduce their consumption of meat, promising that it has found the "perfect blend of sausage for veggie lovers, and veggies for sausage lovers."

While many food brands are focused on creating innovative plant-based burger patties—some of which are introducing blended formulas with meat and veggies—Misfit Foods identified a unique opportunity to create change within the sausage category.
