I officially want Allen Jack and Cottier Architects to design a stadium in my city after seeing the Milson Island Sports Stadium. Designed for the state of New South Wales, Australia, the Milson Island Sports Stadium is designed to bring athletes closer to nature.
The stadium allows athletes who usually play their sports in urban environments, such as basketball players, to experience what it’s like to play in the great outdoors. The stadium is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows at both ends and 4-feet-high vision glass running along the bottom borders of the curved roof. The stadium is designed to be eco-friendly, with its construction consisting of 30 percent plywood and its main light source coming from the sun. The stadium's island location means that it will only be accessible by boat, helicopter, water plane or jet pack, which means that crowded courts should never be an issue.
