Plant-based meat company THIS collaborated with Vegan Dough Co on a pizza called The Animal made with meatless pizza toppings. The pizza is meant to inspire people to "release the animal inside this Valentine’s Day" with THIS Isn't Bacon-shaped love hearts, vegan chorizo, salami and mozzarella on a bed of tomato sauce. The fiery pizza also shares a hint of heat from pepperoncini chilli peppers, a natural aphrodisiac.
The special plant-based pizza toppings will exclusively be served on pizzas for Valentine's Day, which promises to make this year's celebrations, which may feel more restricted during a pandemic, all the more special. The pizza has the potential to a wide range of people, including those who are fresh off of trying a month of plant-based eating during Veganuary.
