Marks & Spencer Launches its Garlic Baguettes in Paper Packaging

Marks & Spencer is switching to sustainable, paper-made packaging for its popular garlic baguettes. As a part of the new update, shoppers will be able to purchase the iconic frozen snacks in FSC-approved paper packaging, allowing the brand to reduce over 5 million units of plastic. This swap is significant in the move for sustainable packaging, as UK shoppers have consistently purchased 4.3 million packs of the M&S garlic baguettes per calendar year.

"[...] It's a good step forward to remove 5.5m units from our supply chain and we continue to work with our suppliers to find innovative new materials, processes, and equipment so we can make change at scale. These changes mean our customers can trust that the M&S quality products they love are made, sourced, and packaged with care," said Lucinda Langton, head of sustainability at M&S Food.
