LOT-EK, an architecture firm based in both New York and Naples that's celebrated for its innovative upcycling efforts, most recently settled its sights on a Brooklyn home that's inhabited by two creatives and their daughter.
Working with a 1930s two-storey base, LOT-EK sought out a new way to expand on the family's space in a way that would be complementary to the existing structure while also bringing in a fresh and modern element.
To do so, the architecture firm added four bright orange shipping containers to the rooftop, which accents the rest of the home as well. With this, LOT-EK ensures that the family has access to their patio on the rooftop and breaks up different areas of the home for more privacy. Photo Credits: designboom, lot-ek
