The team behind Glastonbury’s Shangri-La teamed up with VRJAM and Sansar to create a free mixed-reality festival called Lost Horizon that can be explored with a computer, VR or a mobile app. The virtual summer festival is being touted as the largest music and arts festival of its kind to be hosted in virtual reality, and it will set itself apart with multiple stages and an impressive list of music acts, DJs and artists.
Those who attend the digital festival are free to explore and interact with one another, and much like visiting a similar event in person, they can see the acts from different viewpoints. Although Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary event needed to be cancelled due to the global pandemic, this two-day event offers a new way for people to experience live entertainment.
