New York-based Gluckman Tang created a small-scale, minimalist pool house that doubles as a guesthouse in La Jolla.
Located in one of the most beautiful towns in California, the abode reflects its surroundings with a unique and contemporary design. Using board-formed concrete on the exterior, the design team created a warm and tactile feel that links the guesthouse to the main house. Featuring large openings and an open-plan kitchen, the space flows seamlessly to create a feeling that it is bigger than it truly is.
Encouraging an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, the La Jolla guesthouse looks out directly onto the pool and beautifully landscaped yard to invite all visitors to come and go freely from the yard to the main house.
