Rey Taira’s Justice League Art Puts a New Spin to an Old Class

Artist Rey Taira created these Justice League art depictions, which were inspired by the work of Georges Seurat's.

The re-created 'A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte’ by Taira showcases the heroes of the Justice League. Titled 'Saturday Morning in Front of La Salle De Justice,' the illustration showcases all the similar characteristics of the original painting of Seurat with the exception that it showcases super heroes instead of European aristocrats.

The illustration features numerous Justice League characters such as Batman, the Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow. Taira also created the 'Sunday Evening by the Legion of Doom,' which showcases the villains of the DC Universe, a counter to Taira's depiction of superheroes. Through Taira's illustrations, she infuses two contrasting depictions of art to showcase a wonderful outcome from the two mediums.
