Skateboarders and skate enthusiasts have a new digital ally in iSkateboard, an iPhone app that aims to make it simple to find the nearest skatepark, street spot or skate shop no matter where you are.
iSkateboard was developed by Peter Fahey, who founded the Sneaker Pimps, and the iPhone app already contains over 30,000 locations around the world, with hundreds added each day. iSkateboard uses the iPhone's geo-location feature to give turn-by-turn directions from one skate spot to another. YouTube videos and news feeds from Thrasher Magazine, Skateboard Mag, Transworld, and Fuel TV give the app some pretty heavy multimedia coverage as well.
