Instacart Smart Shop is a new AI-powered feature on Instacart that enhances searches and recommendations for users with specific dietary needs. Over 70% of Instacart users have at least one dietary preference and this in-app shopping integration leverages a proprietary library of 17 million unique products and a language-learning model to help them find products aligned with their unique health requirements and lifestyle preferences.
Alongside Smart Shop, Instacart introduced AI-powered Health Tags, which support more personalized shopping experiences with 14 different dietary preferences like high protein, low carb, and gluten-free.
