Cantilevered Inverted Wellness Huts

The Hotel Hubertus Hub of Huts Creates a Visual Spectacle

The Hotel Hubertus Hub of Huts has been designed by the Network of Architecture (NOA) as an extension on the wellness center in South Tyrol, Italy that stands as a true optical illusion.

The extension consists of a cantilevered design that's supported by a series of oversized tree-like columns, which raise it 15-meters above the ground. A series of tiny huts within the structure provide a village-like appearance on both the upper and lower sections. The various huts house panoramic showers, a changing room, two pools, two saunas, a whirlpool and more, which are spread out both above and below.

NOA Founder Lukas Rungger spoke on the Hotel Hubertus Hub of Huts saying, "The inspiration came from the element of water. We thought about the possible activities such as standing, sitting, swimming, floating horizontally, diving upside down. Each of these positions has a different horizon, and from this interplay of perspectives, the idea of the project came to life."
