Most people enjoy having a certain sense of privacy in the home, but the House in Gokurakuji works against this notion. The abode features floor to ceiling windows throughout most of the layout, allowing the owner to take in the happenings of the neighborhood, and see for miles.
The one main advantage of this layout is just how much daylight is able to get inside. On a bright day (or even a cloudy one at that), the use of artificial lighting is pretty much non-existent, which in the long run should help to conserve money on energy bills. The lighter wood coloring also helps to brighten up the place even more, making it both comfortable and cozy at the same time.
