Most people try to deck out their gardens in any way possible to attract attention and compliments from neighbors and those passing by; that is not the case with Japanese architect Eto Kenta and his stunning hidden garden design.
Designing this unique-looking metal-clad exterior house in Ōita Prefecture in a way that may seem cold from the outside, the architect has the ultimate secret on the inside: a hidden garden away from prying eyes.
Kenta situated the house in-between a residential neighborhood and a grassy plain, so the house was elusive at the front and open at the back overlooking the greenery.
"Raising a large opening on the south side allows lighting and ventilation into the house, but also ensures privacy from the neighbouring houses," says Kenta.
