Divorcee-Only Hotels

The Heartbreak Hotel Turns Getting a Divorce into a Mini Vacation

Most of the things I find online I would really like to see come to America, but the Heartbreak Hotel isn't one of them. Originally founded in the Netherlands, the Heartbreak Hotel is a five-star hotel designed to separate couples in a weekend.

The hotel offers everything a couple going through a separation could need, including lawyers, child psychologists and financial consultants. While the hotel handles the paperwork, couples can spend their weekend getting pampered, drinking or crying their eyes out. Divorce rates in America are already sky high, which is why I would love to see the Heartbreak Hotel stay on the other side of the pond -- at least for awhile. The hotel currently has locations in the Netherlands and Belgium, with rates starting at $3,539 for a weekend. That may sound like a lot, but when you consider the costs of divorce lawyers nowadays, it doesn't seem nearly as bad; plus, you get a weekend stay in a luxury hotel!
