Happy Red Fish's 'Lonely Houses' Covers Old Houses in Colorful Thread

'Lonely Houses' from Happy Red Fish features pictures of old houses and colorful pieces of thread. The Dutch artist cuts out photographs of old home from books and then covers them with intricate and seemingly random patterns made of colored thread. The result is a series of houses that look as if they're floating and have thought bubbles coming out of them.

While all of the pictures in Lonely Houses are awesome, the best ones in the series are the most understated. The lonely fishing house with red thread covering the railing of its stairs is especially awesome. That being said, the houses that look as if they've been tee-peed by thread are quite epic as well. Happy Red Fish works primarily with photos and thread, covering everything from plants to headshots in intricate and colorful patterns.
