Plate-Clearing Campaigns

The 'Happy Plate' Campaign by Electrolux Discourages Food Waste

With its annual Design Lab competitions, Electrolux has associated itself with innovation in technology and design—but a new initiative called 'Happy Plate' is helping the brand be known for social good as well.

The #HappyPlateSG campaign is set in Singapore, due to the high amount of food waste that's created each year. In an attempt to bring awareness to the issue, inspire changes to behavior and prevent food from being wasted in the future, the campaign is calling for people to share a picture of plates where all the food has been eaten.

For every three photo uploads that use the #HappyPlateSG tag, Electrolux will be donating a 'Happy Food Bundle' to The Food Bank Singapore. This is expected to help about 1,000 families in total.
