Bear Naked is now giving customers the opportunity to create custom granola blends that suit their taste preferences and dietary restrictions. The move corresponds with the growing push towards personalized food products and the demand for healthier snack options.
In order to give customers more choice when it comes to granola, Bear Naked teamed up with IBM's Chef Watson. The technology helps customers make custom granola blends by suggesting complementary ingredients that suit the individual's taste and dietary needs. There are more than 50 different ingredients to choose from and they range from sweet ingredients such as cinnamon dried apples and pomegranate seeds to savory options such as jalapeños and olives. One they have created their mix, customers can personalize the canister by adding their own name and a bear illustration of their choice.
